Facts:
The petitioner, R.K. Anand, was an advocate practicing in the Delhi High Court. He filed a writ petition before the Delhi High Court challenging the decision of the Respondent, Registrar of Delhi High Court, to cancel his license to practice law in the High Court.

The Respondent, Registrar of Delhi High Court, had cancelled the license of the petitioner on the grounds of professional misconduct, as he was found guilty of indulging in unethical and unprofessional practices while appearing before the court.

Facts in issue:

  1. Whether the Respondent, Registrar of Delhi High Court, had the power to cancel the license of the petitioner to practice law in the High Court?
  2. Whether the cancellation of the license of the petitioner by the Respondent was valid and legal?

Order:
The Delhi High Court rejected the petition of R.K. Anand and held that the Respondent, Registrar of Delhi High Court, had the power to cancel the license of the petitioner to practice law in the High Court. The court also held that the cancellation of the license was valid and legal as the petitioner was found guilty of unethical and unprofessional practices while appearing before the court.
